Samsung SDS Becomes First Korean ChatGPT Enterprise Reseller. What Does It Mean for Czech Companies?

Samsung SDS, the technology division of South Korean giant Samsung, has become the first Korean company to sign a reseller agreement with OpenAI. Thanks to this, it can now offer ChatGPT Enterprise to enterprise customers, including complete implementation, training, and security support. The partners want to accelerate so-called corporate AI transformation — and their collaboration also has an impact on European markets, including the Czech Republic.

First Korean Reseller of OpenAI Services

The partnership, announced on December 23, 2025, gives Samsung SDS a unique position. It became the first Korean company authorized to offer ChatGPT Enterprise and related technical support to enterprise customers in the region. This is not just a business deal — it is a strategic step to get OpenAI's advanced language models into the hands of large corporations with local expert care.

"One of the key goals of OpenAI Korea is to support the AI transformation of Korean companies. Through the reseller partnership with Samsung SDS, we hope for broader adoption of OpenAI Enterprise among businesses in the country," said Kyoung-hoon Harrison Kim, CEO of OpenAI Korea.

For Samsung SDS, Ho-joon Lee, Executive Vice President and head of the cloud services division, stated: "Through this agreement, we will lead innovation through the AI transformation of our enterprise customers. We plan to offer ChatGPT Enterprise to companies and clients across various sectors."

What Does ChatGPT Enterprise Bring?

ChatGPT Enterprise is not the standard version of the chatbot that individuals can use. It is a specialized enterprise variant with several key advantages:

  • Enterprise security and privacy: Customer data is not used to train models and remains under the company's control. This is critical especially in times of strict regulations such as GDPR or the EU AI Act.
  • Higher performance and speed: Priority access to models ensures smoother operation even during peak times.
  • Extended context window: Allows processing much longer inputs — for example, entire legal contracts, technical documentation, or extensive datasets.
  • Advanced data analysis: Users can have AI analyze tables, create visualizations, or generate reports directly from internal data.
  • Customization options: Companies can create their own templates, integrate the tool into internal systems, or use the OpenAI API to develop their own applications.

End-to-End Support from Samsung SDS

Samsung SDS will not just resell licenses. The company provides a complete service spectrum from initial consultation to long-term operation. Specifically, it offers:

  • Technical support for deploying ChatGPT Enterprise
  • Consultations on using AI in specific business processes
  • Security services and audits
  • Implementation and operational management through the OpenAI API

This approach addresses one of the biggest problems of corporate adoption of generative AI: lack of internal expertise. Many Czech and European companies are interested in tools like ChatGPT but do not know how to deploy them safely, integrate them with existing systems, or train employees. Local partners like Samsung SDS can fill this gap.

Impact for the Czech Republic and Europe

Although the agreement was made in Korea, its consequences are global. Samsung SDS operates in Europe as well and has experience delivering cloud services and digital transformation for large corporations. For Czech companies, this means that a proven integrator is entering the market, capable of combining the power of OpenAI models with local security and compliance requirements.

In the Czech Republic, interest in enterprise use of generative AI is rising sharply. According to surveys, a significant portion of medium and large companies are experimenting with ChatGPT or competing models from Google or Anthropic. The transition from experiments to full enterprise adoption, however, requires exactly the kind of partnership that Samsung SDS now offers — that is, a combination of cutting-edge technology with local implementation support.

European companies must also comply with strict rules of the EU AI Act, which classifies AI systems by risk level and places corresponding requirements on them. The Enterprise version of ChatGPT, with a guaranteed exclusion of data from training and the option of on-premise or private cloud, therefore represents a safer choice than standard consumer versions.

Programs for Early Adopters

Samsung SDS wants to motivate the first interested parties in ChatGPT Enterprise with special programs. Early adopters will receive help with configuration, on-site training, and expert consultations for free or under preferential conditions. This strategy is common when introducing new enterprise technologies — it helps overcome initial distrust and demonstrates the concrete benefits of AI in practice.

For Czech companies considering a corporate ChatGPT license, it may be inspiring to watch what case studies emerge from the Korean market. Samsung SDS has clients in the automotive industry, electronics, logistics, and finance — sectors that are also strong in the Czech Republic.

Security as a Competitive Advantage

One of the main arguments for ChatGPT Enterprise is precisely security. While regular users of the consumer version have no guarantee that their queries and data won't end up in training datasets, the Enterprise edition excludes this possibility. This is crucial for lawyers, banks, healthcare, and public administration.

Samsung SDS additionally offers its own layer of security services — encryption, access management, audit logs, and compliance reporting. For European companies, this creates a "double lock": a technical guarantee from OpenAI complemented by the implementation and security expertise of a local partner.

Is ChatGPT Enterprise available for Czech companies?

Yes, ChatGPT Enterprise is a globally available service. Czech companies can purchase the subscription directly from OpenAI or through authorized partners and integrators who ensure implementation and support in Czech.

What is the difference between ChatGPT Enterprise and regular ChatGPT Plus?

ChatGPT Enterprise offers enterprise-level security without using data for training, higher speed, an extended context window, advanced data analysis, user management, and integration options via API. Unlike the Plus version, it is intended for teams and organizations, not individuals.

How much does ChatGPT Enterprise cost?

OpenAI does not publish a public price list — the price depends on the number of users, volume of usage, and required features. Companies must contact the OpenAI sales team or a partner company for an individual offer.
