1. Interview Preparation — Resume and Question Simulation
Looking for a job? AI can save you hours of writing and stress. ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) can generate a professional resume in Czech within minutes. Just give them a text description of your career — positions, years, job responsibilities — and they will rewrite it into a neat structure. Both tools support Czech at a very good level, and Claude also excels in longer, structured texts such as cover letters.
If you want to go beyond just text output, Kickresume — a Slovak tool hosted in the EU — offers an AI Resume Writer that creates a graphically sophisticated CV directly into PDF from your data. An annual subscription costs 8 USD/month (approx. 185 CZK), while a monthly one is 24 USD. Its advantage is the ATS Checker, which verifies if your resume will pass automatic HR system filters — this is crucial for larger companies today. The free version offers 4 basic templates and unlimited downloads, but without AI features.
Practical prompt for ChatGPT/Claude:
"Prepare a resume for the position of [position title]. Here is my career history: [insert data]. Format it as a professional CV with sections: summary, work experience, education, skills. Write in Czech."
For interview simulation, you can continue with the prompt: "Now act as a company HR manager who is interviewing me for this position. Ask typical questions and give me feedback after each of my answers."
2. Vacation Planning — Custom Itinerary in Seconds
According to surveys, planning a vacation takes an average Czech 8–15 hours — from choosing a destination to comparing flights and finding restaurants. With AI, you can do it in minutes. ChatGPT (Plus version for 20 USD/month, approx. 460 CZK) and the free Google Gemini can suggest an itinerary based on your preferences — number of days, budget, type of experiences, traveling with children.
Google Gemini has one advantage over ChatGPT: it's connected to the Google ecosystem, so it immediately offers links to Google Maps, reviews, and photos of places. The paid Google AI Plus plan (approx. 540 CZK/month) also unlocks access to the Gemini 3.1 Pro model, which handles complex planning better — for example, comparing three different destinations by price, weather, and flight availability.
Practical prompt for ChatGPT/Gemini:
"Plan a 7-day vacation for a couple on the Greek island of Crete in July 2026. The budget for accommodation and food is 2,000 EUR. We want a combination of beaches, historical sites, and good food. Recommend specific places for accommodation, restaurants, and a daily itinerary. We prefer quieter places away from the main tourist centers."
3. Transcribing Meetings and Voice Notes — So You Don't Have to Write Minutes
How many times have you sat in a meeting wondering who would take the minutes? AI solves this elegantly. OpenAI Whisper is an open-source model for speech-to-text transcription that also handles Czech. On our website jarvis-ai.cz, we run our own Whisper instance — you upload an audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A) and within minutes you get a text transcript. The minutes from an hour-long meeting are ready before you even finish your coffee.
For more demanding users, there's the Czech tool Beey.io from NEWTON Technologies. Beey supports 30+ languages including Czech and Slovak and offers advanced features: automatic speaker recognition, AI summaries, subtitle generation, sentiment analysis, or translation of transcripts into other languages. Pricing starts at 198 CZK per hour of transcription in Start mode (you only pay for what you use). The monthly Plus variant costs 590 CZK (5 hours of transcription per month), and the annual one is 5,900 CZK (60 hours). Beey is ideal for companies, journalists, researchers, or students who need to transcribe interviews or lectures.
Those who want a free solution can use Google Gemini — you upload an audio file via the web interface and request a transcript. The quality of the Czech transcript is decent, but you will encounter recording length limits in the free version.
4. Energy Bill Evaluation — No More Manual Calculations
Energy prices remain one of the biggest expenses for Czech households. Comparing supplier offers, calculating price fixation, or determining if solar panels are worth it is time-consuming. AI will calculate it for you. ChatGPT Plus (20 USD/month) allows you to upload a PDF invoice or a screenshot of your customer portal and have it analyzed — the model reads the numbers, compares them with current price lists, and recommends whether you have a good contract.
For truly accurate comparison, however, we recommend a combination: ChatGPT for analyzing your invoice and specialized comparison tools like eTarif or Ušetřeno.cz for current market offers. ChatGPT will tell you if your rate is above or below average — the comparison tool will then find the most advantageous offer.
Practical prompt:
"Analyze my electricity bill. Here is the data: [insert distributor, tariff, price per MWh in high and low tariff, monthly payment, annual consumption]. Compare with average electricity prices in the Czech Republic in 2026. Tell me if my contract is advantageous, and suggest what to focus on when choosing a new supplier."
Within the EU, you also have the right to a free bill in a machine-readable format — request it from your supplier and upload it to ChatGPT; the analysis will be more accurate.
5. Custom Recipes — By Calories, Allergies, and Fridge Contents
"What to cook today?" is a question asked daily by hundreds of thousands of Czechs. AI turns it into fun. ChatGPT and Google Gemini (both free) can suggest a meal plan based on calories, dietary restrictions, allergies, and even what you currently have in your fridge. Just list the ingredients, add preferences ("I want to lose weight, max 1,800 kcal per day, I hate broccoli"), and AI will generate a recipe including instructions and a shopping list.
Interestingly, since April 2026, ChatGPT has a direct menu category "Recipes and Cooking" as one of its official use cases — OpenAI itself promotes cooking with AI as a common activity. Gemini, in turn, can enrich results with visual previews of dishes and links to YouTube recipes.
Practical prompt:
"Suggest a 3-day meal plan including recipes. Conditions: I want to lose weight, max 1,700 kcal per day, I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian, allergic to nuts, cooking for 2 people. At home I have: eggs, rice, lentils, tomatoes, spinach, Greek yogurt, onion, garlic. The shopping for remaining ingredients should not exceed 600 CZK."
What else is coming in the "AI at Home" series
This is just the beginning. In future installments of the series, we will look at AI as a home accountant (managing family budget, categorizing expenses, tax tips for freelancers), a teacher for children (tutoring math, English, preparing for entrance exams), a DIY advisor (repair guides, tool selection, step-by-step renovations), or a gardener (plant recognition by photo, planting planning).
The common denominator of all parts will be one thing: you don't need to know how to program. You just need to know how to ask the right question.
Are my data safe when using AI tools?
For paid versions of ChatGPT Plus and Google AI Plus, manufacturers guarantee that your conversations and uploaded files are not used to train models. For free versions, the situation is more complex — data may be used to improve models. Therefore, for handling sensitive documents (invoices, contracts, personal data), we always recommend a paid plan. Czech Beey.io processes data in the cloud within the EU, so it is subject to GDPR.
Which tool is the most versatile for a Czech — ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude?
For most of the described scenarios, we recommend ChatGPT Plus (460 CZK/month) — it offers the widest range of functions, excellent Czech language support, the ability to upload files, and access to the GPT-5.5 model with advanced reasoning. Claude excels in writing longer Czech texts (cover letters, analyses), while Gemini benefits from its integration with the Google ecosystem (Maps, YouTube, Gmail). All three can be tried for free.
Can I use these AI tools at work, or is it against company policy?
It depends on the specific company. According to a Deloitte survey from late 2025, over 60% of Czech office employees use AI tools at work, but only a third of companies have an official directive for it. If your company doesn't have rules, we recommend: never input confidential company documents into AI, do not use AI for final outputs without review, and inquire about a corporate license (ChatGPT Business, Google Workspace AI), which will ensure a secure environment for the entire team.
